Ziggy's Story

A year ago, we adopted Ziggy. He spent six months at the Humane Society waiting to be adopted so I’m sure he feels like a lucky rabbit, but we feel the same, lucky to have him a part of our family.

We’ve adopted rabbits for the past 20 years, all of them wonderful, but Ziggy has a unique personality. Typically, house rabbits don’t like hardwood floors because they can be slippery under their furry feet. They aren’t crazy about stairs either. Ziggy is fine with both, and often likes to be in rooms where we are, and has his favorite “spots” around the house to take a little rest.

He has a fun, curious, sweet demeanor. While exploring around the house, he might like to take a bite out of something he’s inspecting, and then shoot you that cute innocent look. So, he has plenty of chew toys and enjoys a little tug-of-war with a stick. If you are on the couch, he’ll hop up for a little scratch behind the ears.

We all adore Ziggy, and appreciate the Humane Society of Utah taking care and giving him the opportunity to live the spoiled life!
